Stellantis and Foxconn-backed SiliconAuto has launched a research and development center in Bengaluru, India, focusing on semiconductor product design for the automotive sector. This facility aims to develop next-generation semiconductor solutions for electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous driving, and connected car technologies. SiliconAuto is a joint venture between Foxconn and Stellantis, established in 2023 to cater to the semiconductor needs of both companies and the broad market!


SiliconAuto's CEO, Gene Liu, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation within the automotive industry, stating that the Bengaluru center will play a crucial role in driving forward a vision of smarter and safer transportation. The location was chosen due to its rich talent pool and thriving tech ecosystem.


The Design Center is ramping up it hiring and is looking forward to establishing strong partnerships with the local Automotive OEM's and Tier-1's.

SILICONAUTO INAUGURATES STATE-OF-THE-ART DESIGN CENTER IN BANGALORE

23rd September 2024 – Bangalore, India: SiliconAuto, a JV company of Stellantis N.V. and Hon Hai Technology Group (“Foxconn”) inaugurated its highly anticipated India Design Center, located on Bangalore's Outer Ring Road. The center is poised to accelerate the company’s innovative capabilities in the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies and solutions for the automotive industry, including Stellantis.


SiliconAuto will provide customers an auto industry-centric source of semiconductors for the growing number of computer-controlled features and modules, particularly those needed for electric vehicles.


Products from SiliconAuto will support the future semiconductor needs of Stellantis, Foxconn and other customers. This includes OEMs' future electrical/electronic and software architecture with full over-the-air updating capabilities.


The inauguration ceremony was led by SiliconAuto CEO Gene Liu , CFO Cristiani Campos and India GM Ravi Koodli, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The Bangalore facility will serve as a key hub for advanced R&D, semiconductor product design, and SOC development, contributing to the growing demand for intelligent, energy-efficient automotive solutions for the global markets.
