ASIC Price Calculator (USD)
This ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) Price Calculator helps you estimate the per-unit cost of manufacturing a custom chip, including wafer fabrication, wafer sort, packaging, final test, and NRE. All values are in USD ($).
The tool calculates manufacturing cost per unit, NRE amortized per unit, total cost per unit, and a suggested selling price based on your target gross margin. It also shows how cost and price change with volume.
How to use this tool
- Fill in Wafer & Die (diameter, die area, wafer cost in USD, wafer/die yields in %).
- Enter Wafer Sort values: test time (sec/chip), tester cost (USD/sec), and WS yield (%).
- Enter Package / Assembly cost per die (USD) and assembly yield (%).
- Enter Final Test time (sec/chip), tester cost (USD/sec), and FT yield (%).
- Enter Logistics per-unit cost (USD), and all NRE values in USD.
- Set your planned volume and target gross margin, then click Calculate.
- Use the volume table to see how cost and price change with different unit volumes.
