Intel's 14th Generation Meteor Lake Processors are set to release later this year with a focus on the mobility platform. These chips will be the pioneers of chiplet technology and feature a hybrid x86 core architecture.

'Based on information shared by a highly credible leaker and insider, OneRaichu, is stated that the 14th Gen Intel Meteor Lake CPUs are targetting some big performance and efficiency gains.

Intel's 14th generation Meteor Lake CPUs are expected to launch later this year, with a focus on the mobility platform. These chips will be the first to use chiplet technology and a hybrid x86 core architecture. There have been rumors that the planned desktop lineup has been changed, but the details indicate that the Meteor Lake CPUs will aim to increase performance per watt by over 50% compared to the current generation. This is a significant improvement in efficiency, surpassing the 25% increase delivered by AMD's Zen 4 architecture when it launched last year.

Additionally, the Meteor Lake CPUs may see a 2x boost in GPU performance due to the new tGPU or Tiled-GPU architecture that will feature Xe GPU cores. This configuration is said to have 128 execution units running at over 2.0 GHz clock speeds.

Intel's Meteor Lake CPUs will use the new Xe-HPG graphics architecture, which is a tiled Arc graphics-powered GPU that is neither an iGPU nor a dGPU, but rather a tGPU or Tiled GPU. This architecture will provide increased performance with the same level of power efficiency as existing integrated GPUs, and will support DirectX 12 Ultimate and XeSS.

The 2x performance gain and advanced features may pose a threat to AMD's RDNA 3 GPUs and put additional pressure on NVIDIA in the integrated GPU market. Intel's 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPUs will feature a new tiled architecture with four main tiles: IO Tile, SOC Tile, GFX Tile, and Compute Tile. The Compute Tile includes the CPU Tile and GFX Tile, and the CPU Tile will use a hybrid core design consisting of Redwood Cove P-Cores and Crestmont E-Cores for higher performance and lower power consumption.

Intel has confirmed that they will ramp up the production of Meteor Lake CPUs in the second half of 2023,
