U.K. readies for auction of 4G spectrum

Ofcom, the U.K. government's regulatory body for telecommunications, has announced plans for an auction of radio spectrum for 4G mobile services in the U.K. It has announced a consultation procedure as it decides the detailed rules for the auction which is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2012. Did the 3G auction happen in India on 14Jan?

I have been waiting for WiMAX and 3G acutions to happen, don't know for how long. But the huge potential has yet to be realized due repeated bureaucratic bungling. How could the Indian government be so incompetent and irresponsible?
